I was going down the road at 40mph just cruising. Then all of a sudden the engine revved because the tranny just wasn't engaged anymore. There was no fluid loss, the car has no reverse or forward. The axles are not broken. The damn tranny was supposed to be bulletproof for $4000! Has less than 18k miles on it. Any ideas? Maybe electrical would do it. Vag-Com says incorrect gear ratio for 4th and 5th gears. p0734 p0735 p0730 codes. I just don't think its dead, not one symptom prior.
