Feel free to ask any additional questions that will help you type me. I tried to answer the questions to the best of my ability and I understand that some of my answers are a little shitty lol. I also included a picture of me, if it helps.
(Extraverted Logic)
1. What is work in your opinion? Why do people go to work? Are there any parameters where you can distinguish whether you can do this work or not?
Work is any means of achieving one’s goal(s). This can be done in so many different ways that it is entirely up to the individual to choose which path he
wants to take to reach his desired result. There are many parameters, including laws set by government to avoid nasty altercations with gangs or drug cartels, as well as health parameters that would prevent a job from being done efficiently and to prevent possible injury.2. How do people determine the quality of work? How do you determine such quality? How well you can determine the quality of any purchase, do you pay any attention to it?
People determine the quality of work by looking at the amount of time it took to get the result and comparing that result to the prototype of its category. If it matches up then they are good to go with that product and if it doesn’t, then back to the drawing board! I determine quality by using the same sort of system. I will take a look at what I want and the options that are available to me, and make a decision from there. I pay attention to the expected quality of my purchase, but I completely forget about how much money I spent on something after the fact.
3. There is a professional right next to you. You always see that you can't perform the way they do. Your thoughts, feelings, and actions?
I would start up a conversation with him/her and try to probe for what they do differently in order to find a better way of doing things without explicitly asking “Hey! Why are YOU better than ME?!” I would remain calm in doing this because I know that if I act nervous that the person will be off-put by it and might figure out that I’m essentially trying to steal their strategy.
4. If you struggle to do something, what can you say about such a task? Tell us your next steps and give examples. Compare with actions of others in a similar situation.
At first I would get stressed out, tell myself that I can’t do it, but then I would take a step back for a little bit to ponder what I’m doing and what I am trying to do, hoping that their will be something important that I’m missing that I simply overlooked on the first run. After taking a little break, I would go back to the assignment, draw it out in some sort of diagram so I could better move the pieces around, and go from there. If all else fails, then I will ask somebody else if they have a different perspective on the assignment. I’ve seen others just immediately give up and go get help without trying to push through and get it done without help. I’ve also seen others stick to their way of doing things and exclude other options, even though their way of doing it has failed them multiple times.
5. You need to build a pyramid exactly like in Egypt. Your thoughts, feelings and actions?
That would be kind of cool! I would love to build the pyramid, although some help would be nice. So I would round up a few of my friends to help me complete this project.
Introverted Logic
1. General to specific, specific to general – what does it mean? Give examples.
It’s more or less giving a broad statement and filling it in with details as necessary. It’s like filling in a general map of Italy with all of the places that most people are familiar with, (Venice, Rome, historical architecture, and the landscape) and then filling in the specifics (smaller villages, bridges, and stores).
2. What does "logical" mean? What is your understanding? Do you think that it correlates with the common view? Is it is easy for you to be logical?
Logic is an individual’s ability to rationalize their decisions. I think my logic might be a little bit off compared to the common view, for I do a lot of things instinctively without really giving much thought to it. This doesn’t happen all the time and when I am faced with a decision, I try to use logic to back up my decisions, but that’s only for the bigger ones rather than the smaller ones. I’ve had back and forth arguments between a friend of mine and I where both of us thought the other was being unreasonable, so it just proves that every individual has their own means of rationalizing their decisions.
3. What is hierarchy? Give examples of hierarchies. Do you need to follow it? Why or why not? Give example of hierarchy of systems, what is it?
A hierarchy is an underlying system that institutions use to balance what each component does to keep the system running smoothly. A hierarchy could be an institution such as a church, school, or government, and even to a car, coffee machine, or video game system. Even though the latter three things aren’t groups of people, it is still made up of individual components that have their purpose to make up the whole. Everyone follows hierarchies whether they like it or not, because hierarchy includes social status, which is something that you are born directly into.
4. Choose one of the following tasks and give a detailed answer. Explain your choice.
• What is classification? How does classification work? What is it needed for and where is it applied? Give example.
Classification is assigning similar things to a category in order to establish a group. By classifying things, it makes it easier to find and pinpoint certain aspects that are similar to each other in order to branch out into different things. An example would be music. If your friend likes rock music and is looking for new suggestions, and you consider a band like Three Days Grace to be rock music, then you will suggest Three Days Grace to him/her. You are classifiying things everyday, whether you are consciously aware of it or not.
5. Do you frequently feel the need to structure information? For what purpose? How do people usually do it? How do you do it?
I feel the need to structure information if it helps my point to get across in a more coherent fashion. I would do it by categories of questions, like this questionnaire, or from beginning -> end, like in a story. I think this is what people usually do to better get their point across instead of randomly throwing things in a pile and expecting somebody else to understand what they are trying to say.
Extraverted Sensation
1. Can you press people? What methods do you use? If so, how does it happen?
I can press people in the way of trying to get them to do something without flat out telling them to do it. Sort of like flashing arrows at them without showing my face. I’m more of a behind-the-scenes type of guy unless I need to step up and claim my space.
2. Are there strategies of attack? Can you use them? When is it justified? Do you think it's ok to occupy someone else's territory? In what situations?
There’s always a strategy of attack, whether it be in your face or behind the scenes but I don’t think it can be justified unless you have been put in a life-threatening situation. I think it’s okay to occupy someone else’s territory when you don’t agree with what they are doing with their territory. I don't mean to do it often but sometimes it just happens.
3. How do you protect yourself and your interests?
I protect myself when I feel that I need to protect myself, which isn’t often, but I trust my ability to do so. I prefer to keep my interests to myself until somebody else brings up a topic that involves my interests. I don’t like to throw my interests out there at people and expect them to pick them up immediately for they are sort of esoteric.
4. Describe your behavior in the situations of opposition and if you have to use some force?
If I think that I’m wrong, I’ll back down and accept it, but if I think I’m right, then I go all out and try to convince the other person of my point of view. I will use force if someone is provoking me to use force; otherwise I think it is a waste of time and energy to use it with no purpose.
5. Do others think of you as a strong person? Do you think you are a strong person?
Others think of me as a quiet, but strong person, which I completely agree with. I don't show it off, but I have it in case it is needed.
Introverted Sensation
1. What is beauty? Do you change your opinion about beauty? Does your understanding correlate with the generally accepted notion? What goes beyond the generally accepted notion?
Beauty is something that is pleasing to the eye. I think people are born with a sense of what they feel is beautiful or not. I don’t really pay attention to the looks of a person or place; it’s more of a magnetic feeling of attraction that I get. I guess there is some sort of generally accepted notion of beauty but I don't really pay attention to it. As a whole, I think beauty is entirely open to interpretation of an individual.
2. Is there a template of understanding what beautiful means for everyone to use? Is there such a term as "classic beauty"? If so, what is it?
The template is set in place while you grow up so it is entirely subjective. This template begins to set in place with the idea of “classic beauty” that includes princes, princesses set in motion by Disney or other popular depictions of fairy-tales.
3. How do you create your comfort and coziness? How do others evaluate your skill in doing so? Do you agree with them?
I don’t pay attention to my comfort or coziness beyond the essentials like sleeping in a bed instead of sleeping in the woods by my house other than it’s more comfortable in my bed. My mom and sister like to light candles and put different fragrances in their rooms because it apparently helps them to clear their senses, which I do not understand at all.
4. How do you pick your own clothes? Do you follow fashion? Why? Do you know how to select clothes for different types of figures?
I don’t know much about clothing and I just wear what I think looks good on me. I don’t follow fashion per se, but I do shop at mainstream stores so I guess it becomes inherent. I just don’t care enough to go out of my way to get all the “hip” clothing just because it is popular.
5. Tell us how you'd design any room, house or an office. Do you do it yourself or trust someone else to do it? Why?
I would trust someone else to do it because I could easily just live in four walls with a window and a bed. I would just put in everything that I like to do throughout the day in there to keep myself occupied. I’m relatively simple in that regard.
Extraverted Ethics
1. Is it acceptable to express emotions in public? Give examples of inappropriate expression of emotions.
Of course it’s acceptable to express emotions in public. I think it’s more a “feel” when somebody uses emotions inappropriately.
2. Think of such negative emotional states as sadness, gloom, and despondence.
• Can you, at your own will, enter these states? If not, then when do you feel them?
• How long can you stay in such states?
• How can you withdraw from them?
• Can they be pleasant, soothing?
• How do you feel after you have experienced them?
I can access these emotions at will but I cannot stay in them for long. I naturally withdraw from them. Even if I genuinely feel these emotions, they are apt to change fairly quickly. Emotions provoke new thoughts and ways of looking at things so they can be used for that reason as well. After I’m done with my emotions, I regret feeling them because I realize that it was sort of silly to act that way in the first place.
3. How quickly can you change emotional state? To what side – positive or negative?
My emotions are bouncing between positive and negative throughout the day, but I tend to wade more towards the middle for the most part.
4. What emotional state is usual for you? Does your internal emotional state correlate with what you show externally?
I’m usually in a place of peace, or at least a content feeling. I think I have a good handle on my emotions but they do correlate with what I show for the most part.
5. Tell us about your moods over the last day.
I woke up stressed out for a couple hours, steadily getting over whatever I was stressing out about. Then it turned to my usually “peacefulness” and then I became very slap-happy with my friends, then back to my usual self. I would say that they fluctuate very rapidly throughout my usual day.
Introverted Ethics
1. Tell us how did you build relationships with others over the last day.
By having a good time with people and making sure that my mood corresponded with theirs without causing too much trouble.
2. What is sympathy? When do you need to express it? When is it advised not to? How do you express it?
Sympathy is just showing that you care on the outside, although on the inside it may feel like a lie. I feel the need to express it when I know someone just needs a shoulder or someone to act like they care. I wouldn’t advise somebody to refrain from showing sympathy unless the other person did something insanely stupid to deserve whatever emotion they are in. Even still, I would say that it’s good just to show that you are there for them.
3. Are there any standards of behavior or interpersonal relationships in the society? If so, do you adhere to them? Do people always have to maintain them? Why?
I think there are expected relations between people, like in a place of work, but I don’t adhere to them if I don’t agree with who the person is or what they do. I know that I’ll make it apparent that I don’t genuinely like them without meaning to. It’s only easy for me to fake emotion to a certain extent. People shouldn’t feel the need to maintain what society feels is right for them to express. If they want to go against the grain then so be it.
4. What does moral mean? What is immoral? How do you understand these terms and does your understanding correlate with the others? How can you evaluate the correctness of your own understanding?
Moral corresponds with being a good person to others and making the right choices that don’t put anyone else at harm. Immoral is being a complete jackass to others or making decisions that you know are no good for yourself and others. I think I’m on good terms with the overall understanding of morality.
5. Somebody is giving you a negative attitude – what is your reaction? Could you show your own negative attitude toward someone else? If so, how? Could you feel ill-disposed towards somebody for a long time? How easily do you forgive people?
My reaction is to still be nice and brush off their negative display. I can show my negative side to others but I prefer not to because I know it can easily affect somebody else’s mood. I don’t hold grudges and I forgive others relatively fast.
Extraverted Intuition
1. Is there a meaning of life? In what? Is it the same for everybody?
Everyone has their own innate purpose in this world. I think it can be inherent or learned over time, but ultimately it was within them all along.
2. When you meet a stranger, what can you say about them right away? How do you know what this person is all about? Does it take long to understand someone's traits?
I can see how they are similar to previous people that I have met, but that doesn’t mean I know everything about them. I’m accommodating with others up to the extent that they are not purposely being an inconsiderate person.
3. 'Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.' (Albert Einstein). What is the core of stupidity? Explain the reason for its infinity. How does thinking of a fool differ?
The core of stupidity is other’s stupidity, because everything you do will go out and affect others in some way or another. It goes back to the idea of Adam and Eve and taking a bite of the forbidden apple. Adam and Eve both set the groundwork for stupidity and the cycle spiraled down to where we are today. Stupidity cannot be stopped for there will always be someone who only has primal instinct and no sense of moral understanding.
4. Truth, half-truth and lie: where is the borderline between these concepts? Are "pure" states possible, and how can collection of true facts turn into lies?
Truth is relative to each individual in order for them to feel a sense of fulfillment. I don’t think a “pure” state of truth or lie is possible as there are people who will agree and disagree with another’s point of view on what they believe to be the “truth”.
5. Ideas do not have to be correct in order to be good. What's your attitude towards this statement?
An individual’s idea, good or bad, primes thought of another. That other person can then make the choice of thinking the idea is good or bad; it’s all up to interpretation.
Introverted Intuition
1. How people change? How do you feel about those changes? Can others see the changes?
People are born into a pattern of behavior that cannot be changed in small amounts. If there is a change then it is a big change, but I think they will ultimately return to their original behavior.
2. What is time? How do you feel time? Can you waste time?
Time is non-existent and only a construct of humans to help keep track of ‘measurable’ intervals. I really only feel time in the sense that I’m tired or awake; it’s more of an internal sense versus relying on an objective interval of time. I put time to as much use benefit as I can and do not like to waste it for no purpose.
3. Do you need help creating forecasts and determining how something will end? Do you trust those forecasts?
I’m good at forecasting people’s behavior if I have known them for a good amount of time. I’m not sure what I mean by a “good amount of time”; I sort of naturally get a good sense of whom someone is.
4. Are you normally late? How do you react if someone is late?
I’m perceived as “late” sometimes, but it ends up being for the better. I arrive at the right time because I avoided certain things from happening but when I arrive somewhat later than was expected of the other person, and then I’m considered late by an objective measure. I try not to do that for the sake of the other person but sometimes there are things outside of your awareness that prevents you from arriving at the time that they would like you to arrive at. I don’t mind people who arrive late because of that reason.
5. Tell us your thoughts on the topic of "Influence of fortune on my life."
I think those around you can influence your fortune, but ultimately it comes down to what you decide to do with your time.
