Bluetooth Questions

2009 A4 prestige. Is there a way to "upgrade" the bluetooth to allow actual streaming from my phone for music or GPS? Right now I get no streaming and "occasionally" the phone will connect and the gps comes through, but that is more of an annoyance since it only works for minute.
