2011 A4(B8) - Seat heaters add/Head Unit..

I'm in the process of adding seat heaters and got a head unit from a wrecking yard. Once plugged in the lights went on, then off and now the "Off" button flashes - only defrost works. The car was in a bad front end wreck and from the posts I've read seems it's running in fault mode.



Is that correct, do I have to get it Vag'd..? Or is there something else I have to do to "reset" it from scratch or something.?
