can i replace rs4 standard suspension with standard gas shockers?

hi all,



I have had an 06 reg rs4 for a few days and noticed one of the rear shockers is leaking, after calling audi dealer it seems its gonna cost a fortune, just wondering if I could rip the standard shocks out and replace with gas shocks?
