My driver-side mirror is very hard to see out of:
It's an auto-dimming mirror, and I'd like to keep it that way. The dimming seems to work fine. There's nothing wrong with the glass surface, it looks like it's just delaminating or something.
But new auto-dimming mirrors cost a FORTUNE!
Seems like my best option is finding a used assembly on eBay and pulling its mirror out. Listings for side mirrors on eBay rarely ever mention whether they're auto-dimming. Are there any cues I should be looking for, like a thicker black mirror frame or a some specific wire colors in the pigtail?
Are there any other options for repair?
