I tried searching but could not find anything. It was all ads for Blauparts.
I am going to be replacing the struts/shocks on my wife's '05 A4 Non-sport suspension quattro this weekend.
The rear shocks look easy enough from the little I've researched. My question is on the front struts. I found a DIY one one of the other Audi sites that says if your car has a lot of miles on it that it might not be a good idea to try and remove the entire suspension assembly because the crimp bolt usually seizes around the upper ball joints. It says that you can remove the plugs that are in the engine bay and just remove the spring/strut assembly that way.
Is it doable that way? I'd like to avoid any unnecessary steps and not have to remove the entire upper control arm and just remove the strut.
