Currently I have a 1.9 TDI 2002 A4 saloon on 140K gearbox oil changed, cambelt changed and all services completed. I need a Estate as we have a 17 week Lab.
I was looking at a 1.9TDI or 2.0 TDI replacement but for 7-8K you get a 80-100K one with 50BHP more than I have now. Not a lot since mine is in good condition for its age. Also with the 2.0 injector issues and the fact I have already owned 3 1.9 TDI's.
So im thinking of saving until the end of the year and getting approx. 10K for A4 either 2.7 or 3.0 This is what I Have read and researched so far, am I correct in thinking I Want;
2.7 or 3.0 with a manual or Trip Auto
Either 2007 (07 / 57) or younger as it has improved chain issues ect
Full service history with receipts not just stamps.
As long as you service it every year or 10k the chain issue should be ok?
Do you think its a good car and I can get a good one for around 10K?
I drive 50 miles (25 each way) to work mainly on bypass.
