Hello, I'm using my Q7 to tow my travel trailer with is just under 4K lbs fully loaded and an appromimate toung weight of around 350lbs. I currently have the stock tires and rims (20") and I want to replace them with something more stylish. I'm currently looking at a set of 20" Vossen rims, but started to think about going with the 22" rims as they are an option for the Q7. If I keep the tire ratio, I'm guessing I'll be going from a 275/45R20 to a 285/35R22. Since the sideway will drop in height by a bit in order to keep the same overall diameter, what are the thoughts on having the 22" rims and still towing.
I do expect the ride to feel a little stiffer, but are there ay mechanical or safety concerns? I assume that since the Q7 does come with 22" rims in some models, the only change would be felt in the comfort, but wanted to ask.
thanks in advance.
